Genmark Automation Expands Physical Plant, Adding a Sixth Facility New Building Reflects Company’s Growth, Increases Space and Production Capacity

SUNNYVALE, CA – April 24, 2002: Genmark Automation, Inc., a leader in tool and factory automation solutions for the global semiconductor industry, today announced a major expansion of its facilities to include a new 53,000 square foot building in Milpitas, California.

“At a time when many businesses are having to cut back, we are pleased to report Genmark continues to grow and expand its production capabilities,” said Mila Genov, Genmark Chairman and CEO. “This additional facility is another step in furthering our commitment to efficiently produce the most innovative, technologically advanced integrated automation solutions to improve customer productivity.”

The new building will include an additional 20,000 square foot clean room supporting the wide acceptance of our “front end products,” Ms. Genov added. Genmark’s newest facility is expected to be fully operational by midsummer.
